Okay so once again I have missed blogging a whole month. So here we go again with September in a nut shell.
I turned 26 on the 1st of September. Yippy!
All of my boys went grouse hunting as well. Jace got his hunter safety in August so that he could hunt for the first time this year. He is now officially a hunter and shot 3 grouse. Of course dad was super happy and very proud as we all are.
Dane has football almost every night and his team is undefeated and we are in the process of the playoffs as we speak. We are super proud of Dane and all the hard work that he has put into football this year.
On the 26th of September we had our very first Robinson Family Reunion. It was at barkers fish farm. We played volleyball, teatherball, fed the fish, horse shoes and of course ate. It was a good time for all. Thank you Aunt Laura for putting it all together. You did a great job!
It was a good month. The baby is doing great and growing fast. We had an ultrasound the other day he weighed 4lbs. 5 ounces. It was cool cause we could see that he had hair so now we are super excited to see what color of hair. The countdown is on and we are so excited. I will try my hardest to keep everyone up to date better, and hopefully at some point we can get some pictures on here too. For now that is the Hansen Family Update.

Kids Say The Darndest Things...
Okay so this was to funny not to share. The other day Dane and I were driving home from getting milk shakes when he started telling me about this kid in his school class that couldn't have any dairy because he was 'black toast intolerant' I was like what? He said he was 'black toast intolerant' cause he couldn't have ice cream and milk. It then dawned on me that he was meaning lactose intolerant. I told Dane that it was lactose intolerant and he was like ohhhh I was wondering what 'black toast intolerant' was. It was so funny I had to laugh all night. It was great! We love you Dane!

Where Did The Time Go?
Oh my heck! I can't believe that it is September already and summer is gone and I have not posted for like ever. Well I have a small excuse, our computer went down a while back and I have not been able to do anything on it so I decided until we get it fixed I will blog at work! (Just don't tell the boss) I just won't have any pictures to put up right now with them. So I figured since it has been a while I will go through each month I missed and give a brief overview of what has happened in the Hansen world!
So this happened before May but I never posted it and most of you know by now but we are going to have a BABY!!!! It's a boy! He is due November 24th (only a little over 2 months left!) We are very excited and can't wait.
May: We have a teenager. Jace turned 13 in May. (Am I just way too young to have a teenage son?) Oh well, I love him so much. He is such a great kid, and everyone was right they do grow a huge attitude the minute they turn 13. We had a party for him at our house and he did say that his favorite present was when my dad sang him 'You are so beautiful' it was hilarious. Next thing was Lantz and I had our 2 year anniversary. I can't believe how fast the time went. I am so lucky that I found the love of my life. I love you baby! For the moment I can't think of anything else that happened in May so we will move on....
June: In June we took a family vacation. We went on a little 3 day cruise out of San Diego. It went to Catalina Island (now that I have been there don't need to go back). It was really fun, the kids had a blast. For me it was okay but being pregnant and a little nauseous didn't help much. I just pretty much wanted to sleep. After the cruise we went to the San Diego Padres MLB game. That was fun. Lantz loves baseball so he was like a kid in a candy store. We also had the Hansen Family Reunion which is always fun. We spent the day visiting and playing games.
July: Of course we had the 4th of July BBQ. Dane also turned 10 in July. We took him to the movies and to dinner for his birthday. He is such a great kid. July was one of the slower months for the Hansen's.
August: This month we had the annual Anderson family reunion at Lava Hot Springs. First I would like to thank Lantz's friend Larry for letting us use his trailer. It made things for the pregnant lady very nice, so much better than a tent!!! We spent the day swimming at Lava Hot Springs and our very special Dane was able to clear the pool all by himself (let me elaborate). Dane had convinced himself that he was going to jump off the platforms at Lava. He is our little dare devil that has no fear. So he went and jumped off of the lowest one all by himself. Once he did that he was good and did it over and over. Then he asked my cousin Jason if he would jump off the 2nd platform with him, and they did, and the way that Dane hit the water gave him a good stinger in the back and we had to involve the life guards, back boards, etc....needless to say I was scared to death. Luckily he was okay and got a big cheer from everyone at the pool when he stood up. However, I don't know that he will ever jump again! We are just glad that nothing happened and he is okay. Also in August was the annual Bow Hunt! We look forward to the bow hunt every year and were happy that Amy and the kids came this time. (However, I don't think that I will ever go on the bow hunt 6 months pregnant again!) We had a nice weekend in the mountains and it was a successful hunt for us! (I say successful because we, i mean Lantz didn't kill anything) It's not that I don't want him to, I just don't like deer meat. I am glad though that Jace got to be with his grandpa when he shot his deer. I think that is something both of them will remember forever. Then after the bow hunt, school started! YEAH!!!!! We love when school starts. Dane is also playing football so that keeps us super busy.
The 1st of September was my birthday (yipy). So that brings us up to date and I am going to try super hard to keep up on this better. I know this seems like a novel but now were all caught up. The pregnancy is going good just counting down days now. Very excited. Well this is it for now. Until next time....

Back in Action...
Okay so I know that I haven't posted anything in FOREVER. I have been a very bad blogger but I will blame it on being busy (cause that makes me feel better). So I have quite a few things that I need to blog about. So I will start back at the end of February and go until now.

So the first thing I get to fill you in on is I have learned the saying that beagles are like potato chips....you can't have just one. That's right we added yet another addition to our family. His name is Copper. He is so freaken cute. So I thought that we needed a brother for our other puppy Max. So we found a lady that had a million and one beagles for sale. We went out to her house and came home with Copper (Lantz is lucky we only came home with one!) These puppies were not in the best conditions so it made it hard to leave any behind. Lantz got to choose this one and he chose one that fit his personality. So I would like to introduce COPPER!!!!
Max & Copper Friends Forever!
Okay so onto March. In March I got to go to Las Vegas with my younger sister Alyssa. She wanted to do something for her spring break so we went to Las Vegas. It was really fun. We have a good time together. We tried to talk my brother Shaun into going but he wouldn't go. Oh well his loss! We spent the first night in Mesquite where we ate at Arby's and watched Dancing With the Stars! ( I know sounds like a great vacation right...) then we went bowling at the Virgin River. It was fun but we both had the worst bowling games of our lives. The next day we drove to Vegas and stayed there for two days. We just walked around all day and night. We did the normal Vegas stuff and watched the fountains at the Bellagio and the pirate show at Treasure Island. We did a lot of walking! Okay so everyone tell me...have you ever heard the phrase "my dogs are barking?" My sister would constantly say "My dogs are barking" and I had absolutely no idea what that meant. For those of you who don't know either it meant her feet hurt. We had a great few days together away. Thank you Alyssa for inviting me to go with you. I had a blast. Love you tonz!
Alyssa, Nicholas Cage, & Me at the wax museum.
Okay so a couple of days after I got back from Las Vegas I had tickets to take Dane to Disney on Ice. We decided to have a special thing for just the two of us to do. So we drove to the Energy Solutions arena to watch Disney on Ice. It was a lot of fun. We found out after we had left that our friends 'The Martins' had also purchased tickets and were actually just a couple of rows in front of us. It was a really fun night and nice to spend it with Dane. So I was a complete space cadet and forgot my camera so if you want to see pictures just visit 'The Martin's' blog and you can see some.
So for major blogging events that brings us about current. So now we are just starting spring baseball so that is going to take up some time but its fun to watch. I am going to do better at my blogging so I don't disappoint my sisters anymore.

Celine At Last!!!!!!
Okay so it's November 2007 and I am frantically on ticketmaster trying to get Celine Dion tickets for her concert that was set for November 22, 2008. Yeah that's right I had to buy tickets a year in advance. So I finally get through and got 2 tickets for me and Lantz and another 2 tickets for Lantz's parents. Unfortunately they no longer had 4 seats together so we couldn't get tickets next to one another. I have been waiting my whole life to see Celine in concert so I was ecstatic (even though I had to wait a whole year to go). So 2008 comes and goes and its about two weeks or so I receive an e-mail saying that they have had to postpone the concert because Celine was sick and couldn't sing and that they had rescheduled it for February 22, 2009 (which by the way was a Sunday and made lots of people upset). Are you freaking kidding me?? I really have to wait that much longer (you would think that since I had waited a year I could wait a few more months!). So finally after what seemed like forever the day finally arrived. We got all dressed up and drove down to Salt Lake with Lantz's mom and dad. We were going to eat at Crown Burger and make a date night out of it (and if you eat at Crown Burger you get to park there for FREE!!). Well what do you know, we get there and Crown Burger is closed on Sunday (what do they think we live in Utah or something?) So we decided we would just park and then walk into the gateway and grab something there to eat. However, everywhere that was open had at least an hour wait and that would make us late for the concert. So for our fun date night we ended up at McDonalds in the food court at the Gateway (which we still stood in line for almost 20 min to order and they were running out of food!). So after our romantic dinner we hiked back to the Energy Solutions Arena and found our seats. Finally I was there and this was really going to happen! I was so excited. Celine finally came out and put on the BEST concert I have ever been too. I can't even put into words to describe just how amazing it was! I wanted to jump in the car and drive to Colorado because that is where she was going to be the next night. I can't wait for her to come again in concert, you can bet I will be the first in line for tickets.I had such a wonderful night. I want to thank Lantz for going with me and Lantz's parents for coming too. It was a great night. I also want to thank my parents for watching the boys so we could go. We love you all!

Today's Chuckle...
Okay so I haven't posted anything for a while, but when I got this e-mail for Lantz's mom today I just had to share it with everyone.
You are on a bus when you suddenly realize... you need to fart. The music is really loud, so you time your farts with the beat. After a couple of songs, you start to feel better as you approcah your stop. As you are leaving the bus, people are really staring you down, and that's when you remember: you've been listening to your ipod.
Hope everyone giggles and enjoys.

New Moon...So EXCITED
Okay so I was just browsing the internet at work today and I came across the most anticipated movies of 2009 and guess what??? New Moon comes out 11/20/2009!!!! I was so excited that it only took me ten min. to get a count down ticker on my blog. I am right now in the process of rereading the books and I am on the third one right now. I love them more and more every time. I can't wait for the movie. I know that it is a while down the road but hey it gives us something to look forward to. Just wanted to pass on the information if you all didn't already know. Can I get a WOO WOO for Twilight!!!!

New Year's Eve...
This year for New Year's Eve we just had a small party at my parent's house. There was Lantz and I, my parents, my brother and his girlfriend, my sister Shelby and her friend J.J. and my adopted sister and Shelby's bff Kari. Lantz's parents were going to come as well but Lantz's dad was not feeling well. We did miss them. We also missed having the Martin's there (we didn't know that they had other friends). It was really fun. Lantz and I took our Wii Fit that Jace got for Christmas and played that with everyone. It was hilarious! Two of the funniest things I have seen was my dad doing the hula hoop and my mom doing the soccer ball heading. Those are now two images that I will never forget. After playing that for a while we played a couple of games. It was a really fun night. Oh yeah and don't forget that we had Mama Mia playing in the background. At midnight we lit of a few small fireworks and the new year started. All I can say is goodbye and good riddance 2008 you will not be missed. Hello 2009! I was thinking of some resolutions (even though I am not very good at them). I came across this quote (which I am using for my quote of the week as well. "Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any one thing." ~Abraham Lincoln. So my resolution this year is to succeed in many things including work, being a wife and mother. I know it may take years to do this but now is better than never. I am looking forward to a new year and a better year than last. I hope that everybody has a divine 2009.
Christmas Day...
So Christmas morning we had to wake the boys up. I know it shouldn't be like that but they were totally exhausted after Christmas Eve Day. First thing that we all noticed when we walked into the living room was that Santa had brought Lantz and I a toilet! (He must have heard my cries!) The boys thought that it was so funny that he had brought us that. Dane was excited because he got a bike from Lantz and I. Our family had a great Christmas this year. Both of the boys got what they had asked for. Our family was very blessed this year. It was a great day for all of us.

After we got done opening the presents we went into Lantz's mom and dad's house to do Christmas there. They get together in the morning and do breakfast and open presents. This year because Jace turned 12 and received the priesthood he got a special present from Lantz's parents. He got a 12 gauge shotgun. He was very excited and happy to get that. It is a special present that he will remember forever. It was fun getting together with his family.
After we went to Lantz's parents we went to my parents house for lunch and so the kids could open their presents. It's always fun getting together with family.
We finished off the day watching Dark Knight.
It was great Christmas. Thank you to everyone for making such a wonderful Christmas. We love you all and are very grateful to have such a wonderful family.

T'was The Night Before Christmas....
T'was the Night Before Christmas and all through the house, not a person was stirring cause we were out and about. Doing what you may ask. Why swimming of course. As a Hansen family tradition Lantz has for the last seven years now taken the boys swimming on Christmas Eve. I have been lucky to be part of this tradition for the last two years now and for the many more to come. We have also had the privilege of having our friends and neighbors 'The Martin's' join in our tradition for two years now (and hopefully many more). This year instead of going to the Roy Complex Amy had the idea of going to the Clearfield Aquatic Center. MUCH more fun!! Thank you Amy for the suggestion. It had much more for the kids to do even the little ones like Jace and Dane :) There is a water slide, lazy river, diving boards and water jungle gym. We all had so much fun. We spent about 2 1/2 hrs there. Enough to get everybody tired. Thank you Martin family for coming with us. It was a great time.

Lantz and I and in the lazy river. Spent lots of time there not much effort involved. Hence lazy river!
So we started off Christmas Eve with a Hansen family tradition and ended the day with a Robinson family tradition. My mom's family has been doing Christmas Eve parties for as long as I can remember. We all get together on Christmas Eve and have tons of food. The funnest thing that we do is the Chinese Christmas game. It is pretty close to a white elephant exchange. The kids love it because we get to go buy some dollar gifts to use as our presents. A couple of years ago Dane got this giant pig. Ever since then he has been hooked. This year we also played some games and just had a great time. I absolutely love that we have family traditions. We stay there until about ten maybe ten thirty then head home to get the kids in bed so Santa can come. Thank you family for the fun that night.
Christmas Eve was great this year. I am very grateful that we got to spend it with our Family and Friends. Thank you all. We love you!!!

Quote of the Week...
So today was a rough day in the Hansen home. We had some things happen that have changed our family. I was doing something on the internet and ran across a quote that was well suited for today. "We can not change the direction of the wind, we can only adjust our sails". We can not do anything about what happened we can just do what we need to, to keep going and make the best out of what we have been given. This got me thinking and I have added a 'quote of the week' spot on the side of my blog that I am going to update every week with a quote. Maybe one of the quotes will inspire you like this one did for me today.
The Bells on Temple Square!
On Sunday we had the opportunity to attend the "Ring Christmas Bells with The Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square" concert. The choir does this every year and it goes from Thursday night until Sunday. If you attend on Sunday you get to be there for the Spoken Word and a mini concert after. Lantz and I have attended this for three years now but this year we had the pleasure of taking Jace and Dane with us. We got up early Sunday morning and drove a whoping 40mph on the freeway to temple square (it was so slippery it was really scary). Once we were there we had to wait a while for it start but we got to hear the choir run through quite a few songs. They are absolutley amazing. I could have sat there all day and listened to them sing. Every year they have special guest singers. This year it was Brian Stokes Mitchell. He is a broadway singer and lead in the broadway production of Man from LaMancha. He had an amazing voice and listening him sing with the choir just gave you goose bumps. We also had the priviledge of hearing our beloved prophet Thomas S. Monson speak. He got up after the concert and thanked the special guest. He also asked Brian Stokes Mitchell to sing "Dream the Impossible Dream" which brought tears to my eyes. It was a great experience and one that was great sharing with the boys. We would like to thank Bill and Pat Sevy for letting us have their extra tickets.

Zoofari Fun...
So last Thursday we decided to take the boys to Zoo Lights at Hogle Zoo. I had heard earlier on the radio that if you go on Thursday you get in for $3 instead of $6.00 (and I am all for saving money right now). My sister Alyssa went with us as well because earlier that day we had gone to lunch and then set up my mom's christmas tree. The boys love it when any of our family can go with us anywhere. We invited 'The Martin's' to go with us but they were not able to go and this was the only time I could go with my new work schedule starting this week (YUCK). We missed having them there with us. We got down there at about six. There wasn't too many people so it was nice. It was FREEZING cold. Even though it hadn't snowed yet you have that lovely canyon breeze all the time so it was really cold. It was a fun experience. I think Dane would have enjoyed it more if there were more animals out. The only animals that were out to look at were some of the cats and some monkeys. There were a lot of lights and it was very cool. I hope that every year they add more and more lights and maybe we can make it a new family tradition.
Our family on our Zoofari Express...
So after we froze to death and saw all we could see we went to the Spaghetti Factory for dinner(for those of you who don't know Dane gets very irratable when he is hungry). I don't think I have eaten at the Spaghetti Factory since the night that Lantz proposed to me. I still get butterflies in my stomach just walking in there. The food was great but the service was not so much. It was a very nice family outing and activity. Thank you Alyssa for coming and spending time with our family.

Is That O.K. With You???
So Dane had been bugging me for weeks to take him shopping for Christmas so that he could get Jace and Lantz's presents. So last night I took him to the mall to get them. As we were pulling into the mall we couldn't find a place to park (of course, I hate shopping at Christmas time). We drove around forever looking for a spot. Finally I found one that was close to the front (yeah!!) next to a handicap spot. Dane said "are you sure that this one isn't handicapped too?" I asked him if he saw a handicap sign and he said "no, but if it is at least I am with you so we can park here". It was funny. But then the interesting conversation started. He said to me "Well hopefully soon we will be able to park in the purple spot." I said "purple spot? What is the purple spot?" He said "you know the purple one." I asked him what the purple spot was for and all he told me was that he would have to find one and then he could tell me. So I kept kinda pushing asking him what it was for and finally it came out. He put his arm around my waist and in a semi frustrated voice and said "I just want a brother or sister, is that okay with you?" My heart just melted into a puddle of goo. It was the cutest thing I have ever heard. So the purple spot is the parking stall reserved for expectant mothers. Also, for those of you who know Dane he wasn't quite sure about having another brother or sister when we found out we were pregnant earlier this year, it took him a while to be okay with it and when the miscarriage happened he was pretty upset. He has been hinting and saying things for awhile about this. Yes Dane it is OK with me. I told him we are trying our hardest to do that. Hopefully we can make Dane's wish come true soon!!
Oh, Christmas Tree...
Okay, I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!! I love everything about Christmas (except for the snow). I love the music, the lights, the decorations, buying things for the kids, and the tree. I love to have the tree up as soon as possible after Thanksgiving (we were a little nervous this year with the new puppy hoping that it wouldn't get chewed up). I set it up on the Sunday after Thanskgiving, Lantz brings the tree up and sets it up but then I take it from there. I am very OCD about fluffing the tree. It takes me a long time to get it where I want it and like it. I had it all fluffed and ready to decorate later that night when Dane got home. As soon as he got home and saw the tree up he wanted to decorate it. So we broke out the Christmas music and the ornaments and away we went.

So Jace put on his ornaments and then just realxed and watched while Dane and I finished!
Our beautiful tree. So every year we take the kids to go get a new ornament. This year Lantz and I were at Wal-Mart and found the perfect ornament for Dane. So the ornament we found has a scene from the movie 'A Christmas Story'. So everybody remember the part where the kid gets his tounge stuck to icy pole outside after being triple dog dared by his friends....? Well that is scene that is on the ornament its the kid with his tounge stuck to the pole.

By now I think you have figured it out but last year our little Dane made the same mistake. We got a call from the school telling us we needed to go pick Dane up because he had stuck his tounge to the baksetball pole. We can at least laugh about it now and Dane is a good sport about it. That ornament will bring laughs to our family for the rest of our lives. We love you Dane.
Where Does The Time Go??
Okay, so I wasn't a good blogger during November (or as my sister Shelby informed me the other night 'I am the worst blogger ever'). It was kinda a crazy month for us. So here is just a breif overview of November.
We got Max our new puppie (which I did blog about). Lantz had his birthday.
Dane loves to sing and joined the elementary school choir. They sang at the Roy city lighting ceremony. It was so much fun to go and watch him sing. He does such a good job. It was really cold outside but the lights were beautiful and the kids singing really kicked off the Christmas spirit. Because unlike some people we love Christmas music even before Thanksgiving! (You know who you are). Dane we are so proud of you and hope that you keep up the good work and singing.
This years Thanksgiving was a good one. It would have been great but we only had one of the kids with us. Dane was gone this year. We missed him very much but look forward to having him with us next year. We had Thanksgiving at my Grandma's house. There was a ton of food and of course like many I suppose I hadn't eaten at all that day so I had room to fill up on tonz of food. I love Thanksgiving and being with family. After dinner Jace, my cousin Maddy, and my Aunt and Uncle played Apples to Apples. I have never seen Jace laugh so hard in my life. It was so fun to watch them play and to see everybody having so much fun together. Later that night we went out to Lantz's sisters house to visit with her and his parents. We then got to have the famous leftover turkey sandwiches. I don't know which is better turkey the first time or the leftover after. Thanksgiving was so nice this year and it was great to be with family. I am so Thankful for the great family that I have in my life.
We got Max our new puppie (which I did blog about). Lantz had his birthday.

And the Newest Member of our Family is....
So I'm sitting at home tonight waiting for Lantz and Jace to get home from Jace's football practice. When they got home Lantz came in and then Jace came in with what is now the newest member of the Hansen family...

This is Maximus...the new addition to our family

This is Maximus...the new addition to our family

Maximus is a 7 1/2 week old beagle who belonged to Lantz's sister Tarahne. She was nice and sweet enough to let us have him. We are so excited to have him. He is the cutest thing. The boys have been wanting a dog for so long and so have I. Dane was to the point that he was willing to give up all and any Christmas just to have a puppy. It has been a fun night playing with him and getting him accustom to our house. So now the fun of obedience and potty training gets to start and during the day that job gets to be up to Daddy. One thing is for sure this puppy will not be attention deprived. Thank you Tarahne for allowing us to be a family for Maximus.
