September Update...In October...

Okay so once again I have missed blogging a whole month. So here we go again with September in a nut shell.

I turned 26 on the 1st of September. Yippy!

All of my boys went grouse hunting as well. Jace got his hunter safety in August so that he could hunt for the first time this year. He is now officially a hunter and shot 3 grouse. Of course dad was super happy and very proud as we all are.

Dane has football almost every night and his team is undefeated and we are in the process of the playoffs as we speak. We are super proud of Dane and all the hard work that he has put into football this year.

On the 26th of September we had our very first Robinson Family Reunion. It was at barkers fish farm. We played volleyball, teatherball, fed the fish, horse shoes and of course ate. It was a good time for all. Thank you Aunt Laura for putting it all together. You did a great job!

It was a good month. The baby is doing great and growing fast. We had an ultrasound the other day he weighed 4lbs. 5 ounces. It was cool cause we could see that he had hair so now we are super excited to see what color of hair. The countdown is on and we are so excited. I will try my hardest to keep everyone up to date better, and hopefully at some point we can get some pictures on here too. For now that is the Hansen Family Update.

Kids Say The Darndest Things...

Okay so this was to funny not to share. The other day Dane and I were driving home from getting milk shakes when he started telling me about this kid in his school class that couldn't have any dairy because he was 'black toast intolerant' I was like what? He said he was 'black toast intolerant' cause he couldn't have ice cream and milk. It then dawned on me that he was meaning lactose intolerant. I told Dane that it was lactose intolerant and he was like ohhhh I was wondering what 'black toast intolerant' was. It was so funny I had to laugh all night. It was great! We love you Dane!

Where Did The Time Go?

Oh my heck! I can't believe that it is September already and summer is gone and I have not posted for like ever. Well I have a small excuse, our computer went down a while back and I have not been able to do anything on it so I decided until we get it fixed I will blog at work! (Just don't tell the boss) I just won't have any pictures to put up right now with them. So I figured since it has been a while I will go through each month I missed and give a brief overview of what has happened in the Hansen world!

So this happened before May but I never posted it and most of you know by now but we are going to have a BABY!!!! It's a boy! He is due November 24th (only a little over 2 months left!) We are very excited and can't wait.

May: We have a teenager. Jace turned 13 in May. (Am I just way too young to have a teenage son?) Oh well, I love him so much. He is such a great kid, and everyone was right they do grow a huge attitude the minute they turn 13. We had a party for him at our house and he did say that his favorite present was when my dad sang him 'You are so beautiful' it was hilarious. Next thing was Lantz and I had our 2 year anniversary. I can't believe how fast the time went. I am so lucky that I found the love of my life. I love you baby! For the moment I can't think of anything else that happened in May so we will move on....

June: In June we took a family vacation. We went on a little 3 day cruise out of San Diego. It went to Catalina Island (now that I have been there don't need to go back). It was really fun, the kids had a blast. For me it was okay but being pregnant and a little nauseous didn't help much. I just pretty much wanted to sleep. After the cruise we went to the San Diego Padres MLB game. That was fun. Lantz loves baseball so he was like a kid in a candy store. We also had the Hansen Family Reunion which is always fun. We spent the day visiting and playing games.

July: Of course we had the 4th of July BBQ. Dane also turned 10 in July. We took him to the movies and to dinner for his birthday. He is such a great kid. July was one of the slower months for the Hansen's.

August: This month we had the annual Anderson family reunion at Lava Hot Springs. First I would like to thank Lantz's friend Larry for letting us use his trailer. It made things for the pregnant lady very nice, so much better than a tent!!! We spent the day swimming at Lava Hot Springs and our very special Dane was able to clear the pool all by himself (let me elaborate). Dane had convinced himself that he was going to jump off the platforms at Lava. He is our little dare devil that has no fear. So he went and jumped off of the lowest one all by himself. Once he did that he was good and did it over and over. Then he asked my cousin Jason if he would jump off the 2nd platform with him, and they did, and the way that Dane hit the water gave him a good stinger in the back and we had to involve the life guards, back boards, etc....needless to say I was scared to death. Luckily he was okay and got a big cheer from everyone at the pool when he stood up. However, I don't know that he will ever jump again! We are just glad that nothing happened and he is okay. Also in August was the annual Bow Hunt! We look forward to the bow hunt every year and were happy that Amy and the kids came this time. (However, I don't think that I will ever go on the bow hunt 6 months pregnant again!) We had a nice weekend in the mountains and it was a successful hunt for us! (I say successful because we, i mean Lantz didn't kill anything) It's not that I don't want him to, I just don't like deer meat. I am glad though that Jace got to be with his grandpa when he shot his deer. I think that is something both of them will remember forever. Then after the bow hunt, school started! YEAH!!!!! We love when school starts. Dane is also playing football so that keeps us super busy.

The 1st of September was my birthday (yipy). So that brings us up to date and I am going to try super hard to keep up on this better. I know this seems like a novel but now were all caught up. The pregnancy is going good just counting down days now. Very excited. Well this is it for now. Until next time....

Back in Action...

Okay so I know that I haven't posted anything in FOREVER. I have been a very bad blogger but I will blame it on being busy (cause that makes me feel better). So I have quite a few things that I need to blog about. So I will start back at the end of February and go until now.
So the first thing I get to fill you in on is I have learned the saying that beagles are like potato chips....you can't have just one. That's right we added yet another addition to our family. His name is Copper. He is so freaken cute. So I thought that we needed a brother for our other puppy Max. So we found a lady that had a million and one beagles for sale. We went out to her house and came home with Copper (Lantz is lucky we only came home with one!) These puppies were not in the best conditions so it made it hard to leave any behind. Lantz got to choose this one and he chose one that fit his personality. So I would like to introduce COPPER!!!!

Max & Copper Friends Forever!
Okay so onto March. In March I got to go to Las Vegas with my younger sister Alyssa. She wanted to do something for her spring break so we went to Las Vegas. It was really fun. We have a good time together. We tried to talk my brother Shaun into going but he wouldn't go. Oh well his loss! We spent the first night in Mesquite where we ate at Arby's and watched Dancing With the Stars! ( I know sounds like a great vacation right...) then we went bowling at the Virgin River. It was fun but we both had the worst bowling games of our lives. The next day we drove to Vegas and stayed there for two days. We just walked around all day and night. We did the normal Vegas stuff and watched the fountains at the Bellagio and the pirate show at Treasure Island. We did a lot of walking! Okay so everyone tell me...have you ever heard the phrase "my dogs are barking?" My sister would constantly say "My dogs are barking" and I had absolutely no idea what that meant. For those of you who don't know either it meant her feet hurt. We had a great few days together away. Thank you Alyssa for inviting me to go with you. I had a blast. Love you tonz!

Alyssa, Nicholas Cage, & Me at the wax museum.

Okay so a couple of days after I got back from Las Vegas I had tickets to take Dane to Disney on Ice. We decided to have a special thing for just the two of us to do. So we drove to the Energy Solutions arena to watch Disney on Ice. It was a lot of fun. We found out after we had left that our friends 'The Martins' had also purchased tickets and were actually just a couple of rows in front of us. It was a really fun night and nice to spend it with Dane. So I was a complete space cadet and forgot my camera so if you want to see pictures just visit 'The Martin's' blog and you can see some.

So for major blogging events that brings us about current. So now we are just starting spring baseball so that is going to take up some time but its fun to watch. I am going to do better at my blogging so I don't disappoint my sisters anymore.

Celine At Last!!!!!!

Okay so it's November 2007 and I am frantically on ticketmaster trying to get Celine Dion tickets for her concert that was set for November 22, 2008. Yeah that's right I had to buy tickets a year in advance. So I finally get through and got 2 tickets for me and Lantz and another 2 tickets for Lantz's parents. Unfortunately they no longer had 4 seats together so we couldn't get tickets next to one another. I have been waiting my whole life to see Celine in concert so I was ecstatic (even though I had to wait a whole year to go). So 2008 comes and goes and its about two weeks or so I receive an e-mail saying that they have had to postpone the concert because Celine was sick and couldn't sing and that they had rescheduled it for February 22, 2009 (which by the way was a Sunday and made lots of people upset). Are you freaking kidding me?? I really have to wait that much longer (you would think that since I had waited a year I could wait a few more months!). So finally after what seemed like forever the day finally arrived. We got all dressed up and drove down to Salt Lake with Lantz's mom and dad. We were going to eat at Crown Burger and make a date night out of it (and if you eat at Crown Burger you get to park there for FREE!!). Well what do you know, we get there and Crown Burger is closed on Sunday (what do they think we live in Utah or something?) So we decided we would just park and then walk into the gateway and grab something there to eat. However, everywhere that was open had at least an hour wait and that would make us late for the concert. So for our fun date night we ended up at McDonalds in the food court at the Gateway (which we still stood in line for almost 20 min to order and they were running out of food!). So after our romantic dinner we hiked back to the Energy Solutions Arena and found our seats. Finally I was there and this was really going to happen! I was so excited. Celine finally came out and put on the BEST concert I have ever been too. I can't even put into words to describe just how amazing it was! I wanted to jump in the car and drive to Colorado because that is where she was going to be the next night. I can't wait for her to come again in concert, you can bet I will be the first in line for tickets.I had such a wonderful night. I want to thank Lantz for going with me and Lantz's parents for coming too. It was a great night. I also want to thank my parents for watching the boys so we could go. We love you all!

Today's Chuckle...

Okay so I haven't posted anything for a while, but when I got this e-mail for Lantz's mom today I just had to share it with everyone.

You are on a bus when you suddenly realize... you need to fart. The music is really loud, so you time your farts with the beat. After a couple of songs, you start to feel better as you approcah your stop. As you are leaving the bus, people are really staring you down, and that's when you remember: you've been listening to your ipod.

Hope everyone giggles and enjoys.
